There are so many different ways to play in and enjoy your cubby! The possibilities are endless. Here are our top 5 ideas for fun in your cubby!
Unleash the artist!
Your cubby is the perfect place to have a small table and chairs for your children to do their artwork. Let them draw, paint and craft to their hearts content while not having to worry about mess (or the dreaded glitter!!) inside your home.
Cafe fun!
One of our most popular additions to our cubbies is the cafe option. Kids love to role play and with your own cafe the fun is limitless! They can serve their family and friends up an unlimited supply of food and drinks from their cafe. Who doesn’t love a good mud pie!
The circuit.
Sometimes kids just want to run, jump and slide! Some of the best times our kids have in the cubby are when they are completing a circuit. Climb the rock wall, run to the stairs, climb them, then down the slide, a quick lap of the cubby and then back up the rock wall to start again. Sometimes it’s a game of chasey, other times they’re counting and trying to beat their last time, either way a lot of energy is spent!
Reading nook.
As much as we are passionate about getting kids outside and being active, they need quiet time too. There is nothing better than your own space to settle into. A cubby is the perfect spot for children to settle in with their favourite book and have a quiet read.
Imagination play.
One of the main benefits of a cubby is it allows your children’s imagination to run wild. Free play in the cubby allows them to be anything they want to be. On any given day they could be an explorer discovering a new mountain, a pilot flying across the sea or a parent caring for their baby in their own little home. This time spent playing is so important for their development and wellbeing.
