Playing school in your cubby house
A favourite imagination game for children to play in their cubby house is to play schools. This is because teachers are one of the first “professions” they are exposed to through kindergarten, pre-school and school.
This can be played by a child on their own, where they are the teacher leading a class of either imaginary/teddy bear/ doll students or by several children with one as the teacher and the rest students.
An essential part of the classroom/ teacher role play is a blackboard. This can be a fixed blackboard on a wall of the cubby house, by painting a wall of the cubby with black board paint,

or by having an easel with a black board.

A table and chairs is also a handy addition to your child’s cubby house classroom for the students (either real or stuffed!) to do their school work.

The best part about playing schools in your cubby house is it is its own little classroom or school house. After their lesson the kids can go out for recess and lunch, or even a P.E. lesson!
