Choose your Cubby House Layout! Custom Made Cubbies!

There are so many amazing things about our cubby houses, but I’m just going to focus on one of them today.  You get to choose the layout of your cubby house! Every cubby house is individually made to your specifications from our factory in Brisbane and then shipped around the country.

The following standard layout options are available to you at no additional charge. So basically, you tell us the best layout to suit your yard, and we’ll make it that way!

We confirm the layout with you before Order Confirmation by providing you with sketches of the cubby until we get the layout perfect for you. The team in the factory then work from this sketch to complete your order.

To help with your layout decisions, here are the standard options – hopefully this post will help simplify your choices. Let’s get started!

Would it suit you better to have the High (Fort) side on the left or right?

Once the above decision is made, then the next decision is – if you are NOT having a slide, would you like it to the upper level side wall to be open with balustrading, or a closed panel instead?

Next is a decision if you are wanting a slide – would you like the slide to the front of the cubby, or the side?  Having the slide to the front makes the cubby a more compact space, or having the slide to the side often works well if you are running the slide along a fenceline.

You are almost there!  If you are having your slide to the side, would you like solid side panels, or open balustrading?

Lastly, once you have worked out all the major above decisions, it’s time for the easy fun stuff – accessories! Maybe add a sandpit or cafe and blackboard counter underneath? Or will that make a fantastic storage area for your kids bikes? How about a steering wheel or telescope – maybe a rockwall or fireman’s pole!  So many options, and if we plan the layout correctly from the start, we can make it so some of these accessories can be added later on when your children are a little older (like a rockwall or fireman’s pole).

I hope this post helps you decision on what layout will work best for you. In addition to the above, we can also do further customising at a charge. You are welcome to send through photos and basic measurements of your yard and we would love to send you some suggestions.

Happy decision making!
